Manchester United FC were reportedly about to get very busy this transfer window, but till now have made only one signing. The Red Devils have apparently lost the battle to sign transfer priority Jadon Sancho and will be looking elsewhere. United have now turned their attention towards David Brooks, who plays for Bournemouth, according to MEN Sport.
The Red Devils have drawn down a list of alternatives for Jadon Sancho, and Brooks reportedly stands on top of the list. The 23-year old Brooks will be available for much cheaper than Sancho and a deal could be easily completed. Brooks has surely shown signs of how good he is but last season he suffered an ankle injury which limited him to only nine games.
The Welshman is a versatile player who can play in the right-wing and also in the No.10 position. In the 2018/19 season, Brooks played 30 games in the Premier League, in which he scored seven goals and provided five assists. The Red Devils are reportedly very serious about getting Brooks and will try to get this deal done as soon as possible.
David Brooks would surely make a good squad player, but he will surely not walk into the United starting XI.
