United bizarrely linked to N’golo Kante

Manchester United FC have reportedly been in the lookout of a midfielder this summer transfer window to bolster their squad next season. The Red Devils haven’t yet made any marquee signings this summer, which has been a cause of frustration amongst the fan base. It is now reported by the Mirror that United are considering putting in a bid for Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante.

United have been looking for a midfielder to strengthen their midfielder department, which lacks the quality of a Champions League squad. After being linked to Jack Grealish and Donny Van de Beek, the club is now being linked to Ngolo Kante. According to Mirror, United are keen to get Kante who partnered Pogba in the French midfield that won the World Cup.

N’golo Kante has been one of the finds of the Premier League in the last decade. Kante has arguably been one of the best midfielders in the world as well but missed most of the last season with injuries. Chelsea are looking to part ways with Kante to generate funds for transfers sighting his injury woes.

Signing Kante will not come cheap though, and United must also ponder the reason for Chelsea letting go of N’golo Kante. The deal is very unlikely though because of United prioritizing a move for Jadon Sancho.
