Bruno Fernandes has been fantastic for Manchester United since his arrival in January, earlier this year, and has had a great impact on the team. The Portuguese midfielder has been one of the best goalscoring midfielders in the world, and hasn’t missed a penalty in his United career yet. With opposition fans tweeting sarcastic comments about Bruno’s penalty-taking abilities, the midfielder has hit out at critics.
Bruno Fernandes is one of the main reasons for the changed fortunes of the United side. Since joining the Red Devils, Bruno has lost just two games in a United shirt, which shows the magnanimity of the job he has done. A bulk of his goals have been through penalties, and opposition fans are trying to put Bruno down by stating that he only takes penalties and has no other aspect to his game.
Bruno hasn’t taken this jibe at him lightly though and has responded to his critics. In his talk with A Bola he said “I hear people saying, ah, he only scores from penalty kicks. But a little while ago, I saw the statistics and, except for penalties, only Kevin de Bruyne has a higher involvement in goals than me in England when it comes to midfielders.”
Fernandes has been instrumental in United’s recent success and Solskjaer will hope that the midfielder will keep his consistency.
