At the beginning of the summer transfer window, United were in the lookout of a solid versatile midfielder. But after the signing of Donny Van de Beek last week, United’s search of a midfielder, this summer has ended. It is now being reported by the Marca that Saul was flattered by his links to United and the price tag attached to him.
Saul Niguez is one of the best versatile midfielders in the world, and has become a beast at Atletico Madrid. The central midfielder has all the attributes and almost always shows up with great performances for the La RojiBlancos. But it was reported early in the summer that Saul wanted to move away from Madrid, with United being heavily linked with him.
In his recent interview, Saul said “”I am very flattered that a club like Manchester United, or other teams that ask about me, take me into consideration. For me it is very positive. He also added that “And important people from those clubs (such as Ferdinand) speaking well of me means that I am doing things well at Atletico Madrid.”
With Van de Beek’s signing it is sure that United will not go for Saul Niguez this season, and the midfielder can concentrate on his career at Atlectico Madrid.
