Thiago Alcantara’s future has been at the centre of a lot speculation after the player refused to sign an extension with Bayern Munich. The player has entered the final year of his contract at Bayern and thus the Bavarian club is desperate to sell him now. It has now been reported by Sport1 that Thiago probably has an agreement with either of Liverpool or Manchester United.
It was earlier reported about United’s interest in signing Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer. It is widely believed that Manchester United and Liverpool are closely in talks with the Spanish international. But, there is also a feeling that Liverpool will get the deal done as they had reportedly agreed on terms with the midfielder earlier.
It is now reported that former Bayern boss, Uli Hoeness, has said: “We offered him (Thiago) a great four-year contract but in the last minute he changed his mind and told us he wants a new challenge. He probably has an agreement with Liverpool or Manchester United, or with both.”
He also added that “Both clubs did not come to us with an offer. They are bluffing and likely waiting until the last week of the window to make a cheap offer. Bayern must decide whether they want to play this game or stand their ground and keep Thiago.” United could get Thiago for the cheap, and he would surely be a great addition to the Red Devils’ squad.
