Manchester United FC have reportedly been in the lookout of a left-back all throughout the summer having been linked to several players. It was recently reported about United’s interest in Alex Telles as the left-back is set for a move away from Porto. It is now being reported by A Bola that Porto have further decreased the asking price of Telles to seal a move for him.
Alex Telles has entered the final year of his contract at Porto and has made it clear to leave the club. The 27-year old is one of the best left-backs in the world and certainly deserves a move to a bigger club. He has been linked with several clubs this summer, but a deal hasn’t materialized for the Brazilian defender yet.
It is now being reported that Porto have decreased their price tag on Telles as they are desperate to not see him go on a free. According to reports, the Portuguese club is now only asking for about €20m (£18.5m) for their left-back this summer. It is very likely for United to sign him, looking at his price-tag and his qualities.
Telles would be a great signing for United looking at Shaw’s injury problems, and Telles might even push Shaw out of the starting XI.
