Ighalo praises three players in United’s win over Luton Town

Manchester United got their first victory of the season, with the win against Luton Town in the third round of Carabao Cup. Most of the United players played well, as the Red Devils were in control for almost the entirety of the game. After the game, in his talk with MUTV, Odion Ighalo has praised three United players after the win against Luton Town.

The Red Devils got their first win of the season against the Championship side, which saw Mata, Rashford and Greenwood on the scoresheet. Ighalo got a rare start under Solskjaer, but the striker couldn’t capitalize on the chance presented to him. But being a team-player and huge supporter of United, Ighalo was delighted with the win and has praised three United players.

In his post-match interview, he praised Dean Henderson and said: “He’s a good goalkeeper and he made that save and gave us the confidence to keep pushing.” Henderson made a great save to keep United in the game when the score was 0-1. He also said: “You see when Mason came in, and Rashford, you see that we had more speed up there, because they were a bit tired back there. So the goals came in. We are very happy we are through to the next round.”

Ighalo was glad that Rashford and Greenwood came on late in the second half to put the game to bed. The centre-forward will be etching to score goals himself, as his chance at United is likely to end in January.
