Solskjaer talks about his squad depth ahead of Tottenham clash

Manchester United FC have once again gone and not backed their manager in the summer transfer window after achieving Champions League football. The club has only signed Donny Van de Beek this summer even though it was promised to be a summer of a rebuild. In Solskjaer’s latest press conference, the manager was visibly upset and frustrated at the same time when asked about new signings and the current squad.

With the Champions League draw coming out last night, United have been drawn with PSG, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Besakshehir in the group stages. It will be difficult for United to even come out of the group stage let along win the league, which should have meant a spending spree. But instead, the incompetent Manchester United board have once again failed the manager and the fanbase by not adding quality to the squad.

In his latest pre-match press conference, when Solskjer was asked about his squad he said: “When I talk about the squad depth, we’ve got a big squad. Of course the performances last season didn’t warrant me giving too many of them more options because I think the 11, 12, 13 players who played and played well really deserved to play more.”

He also added that “I think it’s a different scenario now. After two games already I’ve seen many of the players who didn’t play too much last season performing really well.” No matter what he says, United aren’t well prepared for the season ahead and there is a huge chance of a disaster in the making.
