Manchester United FC are having arguably the worst transfer window in the history of the Premier League era. Until today, the club had only signed one player in Donny Van de Beek but it was reported earlier that a couple of more signings are imminent on deadline day. It has now been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani have had their medicals and will be shortly presented as Manchester United players.
It was reported earlier last night that United had agreed over a transfer fee for Alex Telles. United had been keen to sign Telles from Porto after their failed pursuit of Sergio Reguilon. The Brazilian full-back will sign for the Red Devils about €15m, as this was the last season in his contract at Porto and has signed a contract at United till 2024.
Edinson Cavani has also passed his medical today at Carrington and will sign a two-year deal with the Red Devils. The Uruguayan will add goals to the United side and his experience will be instrumental. But he will be labelled as a panic buy as he has been a free agent from eight months and United signed him on the transfer deadline day.
Alex Telles is a new Manchester United player. Contract signed until June 2024 + option until June 2025 and announcement on next few hours. 🔴 #MUFC #ManUnited #DeadlineDay

Manchester United have completely wasted this summer transfer window and have thrown another manager helpless into the Premier League season.
