After the international break, Manchester United face Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend with a lot to prove. The players will be fresh from the 1-6 Tottenham defeat, before the break and will be keen to not allow anything of that sort to happen. It is now being reported by talkSPORT that 18-year old Facundo Pellistri, United deadline day signing is in contention to start against Newcastle.
Manchester United signed Facundo Pellistri from Penarol earlier this month, activating his release clause. It was reported that Pellistir has a great chance of going directly into the first-team squad despite never playing in Europe. The teenager has travelled from Uruguay, unlike fellow Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, who travelled from France and is quarantined.
It has been reported that Facundo Pellistri is available to start for Manchester United in the weekend game against Newcastle. The likes of Martial and Cavani will be missing from the squad, thus Pellistri might sneak in. The chances of Pellistri of making to the squad are still slim, as the 18-year old has never played in Europe, let alone the Premier League.
Facundo Pellistri is surely one for the future for Manchester United and the Red Devils should not put a lot of pressure on the 18-year old’s shoulders.
