Manchester United starlet, Mason Greenwood enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough season at Old Trafford, with 17 goals to his name. The 19-year old is an important part of Solskjaer’s plans this season and has already opened his account for the season as well. In his latest talk with Manchester United’s Official Website, Mason Greenwood has talked about his goalscoring and his partnership with fellow Englishman Marcus Rashford.
Mason Greenwood was Manchester United’s trump card last season, as the youngster saved the Red Devils from blushes several times. His unpredictability and shooting ability from both his legs make him a threat throughout the entire game. With extra competition for place coming from the likes of Cavani and Pellistri, Greenwood has made sure to make himself even better in the international break.
In his latest interview, Greenwood said: “We (Greenwood and Marcus) have worked on some extra finishing and I’ve worked all week on my shooting so I’m sure we’ll be able to get the job done,” he told club media. “We both know our capabilities and we both know how to play with each other so it should be good.”
Manchester United have a tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks and will surely need Greenwood and Rashford to score the goals. Both the Manchester United Academy graduates have the potential to reach the very top and become the best in their respective positions. Solskjaer would hope Greenwood repeats his goalscoring prowess this season as well, as Manchester United compete in the Champions League.
