Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has had a rough time in the last few months, especially after the incident at Mykonos. But Maguire had a good game last night and also scored his first goal of the season against Newcastle in the Premier League. In his latest post-match interview, Harry Maguire dismisses talks of proving the having proven the critics wrong as he wants to improve a lot more.
Manchester United thrashed four goals past Newcastle to get their second win of the Premier League season. Maguire’s selection was a doubt because of a knock he picked up while on international duty. But Maguire made it to the starting XI and also started Manchester United’s comeback with a thumping header.
In his interview, Maguire said: “I wouldn’t say we have answered them (the critics). It’s funny, three games into the season and it seems like a big crisis. Won two lost two. There is a long way to go, we have to improve.”
Manchester United have a very difficult run of fixtures as they face PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal and RB Leipzig in about the next 20 days.
The Red Devils will have to be at their best to come out well of the next run of games. Harry Maguire will be pivotal to Manchester United’s success or failure on the pitch, and the captain has to do justice on his price tag.
