Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is highly rated by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the United fanbase as well. The youngster has had his problems with injuries but made a superb comeback from injury with a great performance against PSG in the Champions League. In his recent post-match interview, Tuanzebe has talked about his ambition and Manchester United’s ambitions in the Champions League this season.
The Red Devils got a victory at the Parc des Princes against PSG last night, despite being the underdogs in the build-up to the Champions League fixture. Manchester United created more and better chances and defended bravely throughout the game against last season’s finalists. Axel Tuanzebe made his comeback after almost 10 months and bossed against the likes of Neymar and Mbappe.
In his post-match interview, Tuanzebe said: “It was good to get a run out. It’s a difficult game to come back to, but I’m just happy we’ve got the win. We came here to win. We’re in this competition to compete.” He also added, “We showed PSG respect, but ultimately we’re the bigger team and we want to dominate and get the three points.”
Axel Tuanzebe was one of the best players on the pitch last night, and coming from the academy, he has got all the values required to excel. His comeback has come in the perfect time for Solskjaer, who is facing a problem with lack of centre-backs. After his performance, Tuanzebe is likely to feature against Chelsea as well, who Manchester United face in the weekend.
