Manchester United had a disappointing summer transfer window, as the club failed to sign any of Solskjaer’s priority signings. It has hardly been a month since the transfer window closed but the Red Devils have already been linked to several players. It is now being reported by transfer expert Christian Falk that Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are in the race for Denis Zakaria’s signature.
Manchester United were linked with a couple of midfielders this summer, despite having several good midfielders in the squad. From the beginning of the season, Matic was looked off the pace, but Fred has done well in his place. The Brazilian played exceptionally well against PSG and seems to have cemented his place in the United time to the near future at least.
But it has been reported that Manchester United have joined the race to sign Denis Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach. The midfielder is ready for the step up to a bigger club but Monchengladbach will ask about £40m for him. It will surely be difficult to sign him as Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also monitoring his situation.
Manchester United need a strong defensive midfielder with the passing ability and Zakaria is a perfect option. It would be great for the team to have a player like Zakaria, only if the board signed him.
