Michael Owen was one of the best players of his time and was the last Englishman to win the Balon d’Or. Owen was a prolific striker and surely knew a thing about movement and scoring goals in the Premier League. In his post-game report with the Premier League Productions, Michael Owen has lauded the movement of Edinson Cavani, which enables him to score so many goals.
Manchester United’s summer signing and new No.7., Edinson Cavani has scored goals wherever he has played. Being one of the best strikers in the world, his movement off the ball is one of the best too. Previously he has been lauded for his goalscoring prowess and now Owen has also praised the striker for the same.
In his interview, Owen said: “I love this guy’s movement, he’s my type of striker. I think he’s going to score a few. As long as United have pressure on the opponents. They get crosses in. He’s very much an 18-yard box type of striker that makes darting runs.”
Cavani has already shown a testimony of his movement against Chelsea, where he could have scored with his first touch.
In his debut, Cavani looked good and Solskjaer would hope that he would have an impact with the Red Devils. The Uruguayan striker needs to prove himself again and is likely to do so, looking at his brilliant track record.
