Manchester United’s highest goalscorer for last season, Anthony Martial has had a torrid start to the season this time around. Martial is yet to score for the Red Devils, even though he has already scored an own goal and also got a red card. In his recent interview with United Review, Anthony Martial has talked about the criticism he faced after the own goal he scored in Paris.
Martial is one of the most criticized players in the Manchester United despite being good for the Red Devils. Paul Scholes has been a vocal critic of the United No.9 and the case has been the same with several others as well. The Frenchman has not scored this season and will be eager about scoring as soon as possible.
In his interview, Martial said: “I still haven’t scored yet this season. But I know that as and when I get off the mark with one, everything will be fine. So, it’s down to me to keep putting in a big effort in training and to then show everybody the real Anthony Martial.”
The Frenchman is likely to start against RB Leipzig tomorrow and will be etching to score his first goal of the season for United. He has matured as a centre-forward lately and shows signs of becoming a Manchester United legend, but for that to happen, Martial will have to work hard and keep up the consistency.
