Paul Pogba is Manchester United’s most expensive signing ever and was also once the most expensive player in the world. But he is also one of the most criticized and hated players in the Manchester United squad, despite his performances on and off the pitch. In his recent talk at Sky Sports, Roy Keane gives his verdict on why Paul Pogba hasn’t been recently starting for Manchester United.
Pogba has had a poor start to the season after suffering from the coronavirus just before the season began. The Frenchman didn’t get a proper pre-season and thus looked rusty on the pitch, which was obvious. But lately, he has been showing signs of revival after a couple of good games, against PSG and RB Leipzig.
In his talk, Keane talked about Pogba not starting for United and said: “Pogba’s performances over the last few years for United haven’t been good enough. It’s as simple as that. For all Pogba’s talent, he should be in this team, but he doesn’t do enough – he doesn’t do the other side of the game.”
Paul Pogba needs to show his worth at Manchester United once again this season because of the poor start to the season. The Frenchman surely has the talent, but his passion and drive have been questionable in the past and he has to correct that part of his game.
