Paul Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world and has shown why at Manchester United. But the Frenchman has barely looked to get going this season, even though he has had quite a few chances in the starting XI. It is now being reported by the SportsBible that Manchester United have decided to sell Pogba with a price tag of only about £53m.
Paul Pogba has had a poor start to the season, especially in the Premier League, giving away a couple of penalties already. The Frenchman has been criticized as usual even though his stay has been elongated at Manchester United. It was earlier reported that Pogba was also upset with the fact that Manchester United had triggered a contract extension, instead of offering a new contract.
It has been reported that the United board are now eager to sell Pogba next summer because of his inconsistent performances. The price tag for Pogba is likely to be about £53m, which is almost half of what United paid to sign him. With his age and contract, his value will only be highest next summer, thus if the club wants to sell him, next summer should be a perfect time.
Manchester United signed Pogba as the world’s most expensive player, but it seems that it never worked out for the Frenchman. Maybe it is the perfect opportunity to sell him and get some cash back into the account.
