Paul Pogba, for quite a few years, has been Manchester United’s talisman after returning from Juventus as the world’s most expensive player. But since the last couple of years, things haven’t gone the way he would’ve liked, as he has struggled with form and injuries. In his recent interview with talkSPORT, Jamie Carragher says that Pogba is not a great player and is not helping his situation at Manchester United.
Paul Pogba has had a very poor start to the season, especially in the Premier League, where he has already given away a couple of penalties. It was earlier reported that Manchester United have lowered Pogba’s price tag and are open to selling him next summer. Jamie Carragher has reinstated his opinion about Pogba saying he isn’t great.
In his recent interview, Carragher said: “He’s possibly never done well in any position or tactical set up that different managers have had.” He also added that “Would I pick him in the Manchester United team? No, I wouldn’t. He’s a huge name, he’s come for a huge transfer fee, but I don’t think he’s a great player.”
Paul Pogba needs to get his act right at Manchester United as soon as possible to have any chance of getting his place back in the team. The Frenchman hasn’t shown appetite in his recent games and needs to keep his head down and perform for the Red Devils. Pogba is surely one of the most talented players in the world, but he needs to do justice to his talent as well.
