Paul Pogba’s appearances in the news headlines have come more than ever as the Frenchman continues to be linked to several clubs. The World Cup winner has been long linked to both Real Madrid and Juventus even though he did well at United towards the end of last season. It is now being reported by The Athletic that Pogba is now considering to run his contract down at Manchester United.
It was earlier reported that the Manchester United board had extended Pogba’s contract for one more year instead of offering him a new contract. The midfielder is now contracted at Old Trafford till July 2020. Pogba has lost his place in the starting lineup lately and is also not in the best of forms for the Red Devils.
It has been reported that Pogba is considering to run down his contract at United and then leave as a free agent. He joined Manchester United as the most expensive signing in the world when he arrived back to Old Trafford. This news might be shocking to the United board who might have had planned on cashing on Pogba.
This might not be the right idea for Pogba to leave as a free agent 18 months later as he will be about 29-years old. Manchester United should sell him soon if the club fails to tie him down in a contract.
