Manchester United tried to sign a right-winger this summer but the club failed to sign one because of the incompetent board. The Red Devils were linked to several wingers like Jadon Sancho and Ousmane Dembele but couldn’t sign a world-class right-winger. It is now being reported by La Razon that Manchester United are keen to sign Samuel Chukwueze if they fail to sign Jadon Sancho next summer.
The United board tried hard to sign Jadon Sancho this summer and bid up to four times for the Englishman. It was earlier reported that the Red Devils still are keen to sign him in the next summer transfer window. But what is more important is to have a backup plan as Sancho’s arrival at United isn’t guaranteed.
It has been reported that Manchester United have set sights on Samuel Chukwueze as their backup plan for Sancho. The winger will not be easy to sign from Villareal with Chelsea and Liverpool also chasing him down next summer. His contract at the Spanish club is set to expire in the summer of 2022 and his valuation will only decrease with time.
Chukwueze is definitely a good player but Manchester United should only keep him as a backup plan to Jadon Sancho next summer.
