Van de Beek talks about his positional versatility

Donny Van de Beek finally looks to come at his best at Manchester United since joining the club in the summer transfer window. The Dutchman hasn’t had a start to his United career as he would have dreamt of due to lack of game time. In his post-game press conference against Istanbul Basaksehir, Van de Beek has talked about his positional versatility at Manchester United.

Van de Beek is one of the most talented young midfielders in the world and is slowly getting it his way at United. The versatile midfielder has played in several different positions in his short Manchester United career already. His technical ability on and on and off the ball intelligence have helped him adapt to adverse situations and positions at Manchester United.

In the press conference, Van de Beek said: “It was really good. Some games I play No.10, sometimes the coach needs me in the control position, that’s fine for me, sometimes in Ajax I was also playing in that position so it’s OK.”

In the game against Basaksehir, Van de Beek plated in a double pivot with Fred and was fantastic.

Van de Beek hasn’t started a game yet in the Premier League but has done well in the Champions League for Manchester United. He is set for contention to start the game against Southampton in the weekend and has a good possibility of getting his first start in the Premier League.
