The lack of creativity can be seen as Van De Beek was also benched which led to Bruno being the sole distributor in the attack which paid heavily for United. Benching Van De Beek was not a wise choice considering he was in good form.
United heading into Europa League:
The loss takes the team to the Europa League which feels sad for the manager as they had won their two UCL opening games by defeating PSG and Leipzig but still lost two continuous matches at the end where they just needed a draw to qualify. Being in the Europa League will also be tougher for the team as other quality sides like Spurs will also be hunting for the trophy and they are in good form. Only time will tell whether they win anything or not.
Man of the match: Angelino
His impact on this match in the initial 20 minutes set the pace for Leipzig’s triumph.
