Jurgen Klopp has assimilated himself with an exciting brand of football. One which asks a lot of his players both physically and mentally.
Even though he has an intense style of play it has reaped him rich dividends in the past few years. This season though seems to be a turbulent one as they haven’t been able to place their strongest playing 11 in a long time.
In the game at Anfield on Sunday, they had to play their midfielders in the defence and that made things in the middle of the park really tough.
Klopp took a dig at Ole’s Manchester United by saying:
“The worst thing you can face in football is to play against a side with world-class players and they all defend with all they have. It is really difficult, it is the biggest challenge”
Ole’s team was second best for the majority of the first half and just got in a few chances towards the end of the half whereas Manchester United was the dominant team in the second half as Alisson had to pull off some excellent saves.
Manchester United would still be happy with 1 point as they still sit on top of the table but Manchester City has every chance of overtaking them with their game in hand as the title challenge could become an interesting city rivalry.
Jurgen Klopp was not the only one who took this dig at Ole’s first-half tactics and many even criticised Bruno for not having proven himself against any of the top 6 clubs in Europe as he had another quiet match by his standards.
As of now Manchester United have continued their unbeaten run and would look to keep it that way.
