The youngster has a stellar game against Liverpool in their 4th round tie at Old Trafford. Rashford scored 1 goal and gave 1 assist. Mason Greenwood was another youngster who shone on the big stage.
Bruno Fernandes put the ultimate nail in the coffin by striking a superb freekick which secured the victory for Manchester United in the FA Cup. While all seemed well and good Ole is not entirely sure whether Rashford will be able to make it for the fixture against Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old scored his 15th goal of the season in what can be called a sublime performance. Ole however confirmed in the post-match presentation that Rashford was feeling pain in his knees which makes you wonder whether he would be available for selection against Sheffield United.
Sheffield United is currently sitting at the bottom of the table and it would seem like Ole and the staff at Manchester United would not want to risk it all for this fixture as other matches are of more importance.
However, Ole also later revealed that he was completely fine in a press conference held on Tuesday, “Marcus is available, yeah, he trained this morning. He is available for selection.”
Ole has also spoken about the impact that the other more established players are having on the youngsters in the dressing room and that was clearly visible in the tie against Liverpool where the young lads made most of the difference. Everyone seems to be in high spirits and Manchester United look in a great place where they should be challenging for trophies.
