Anthony Martial and Axel Tuanzebe both had a tough time in the loss to Sheffield and would probably want to forget this night as soon as possible.
A competitive game like football sees even the best of players go through hard times when they are having a lean patch or a tough phase where nothing seems to go their way but this is no excuse for being discriminated based on one’s race.
The Premier League has taken a stand against racial discrimination where every player takes the knee before a match to show solidarity and support for all races. Following their defeat to Sheffield United Martial and Tuanzebe were on the receiving end of racial abuse.

Everybody at the club said that they were disgusted with the kind of treatment that both these players had to face.
Tuanzebe has been at the club since the age of 9. He had faced all the odds and came to England when he was really small but has worked his way up the team and has captained it at every level. He has proven to be a great player for the club and the game but still has a lot to learn and at the age of 23 one cannot simply define his entire career based on one forgettable match.

Then, now and always.
Anthony Martial also had a very quiet night in front of goal as Ole put him in the first team with hopes of giving him some quality game time and confidence. Cavani has scored more goals than Martial this season.
This beautiful game is not defined by caste, creed, religion, or by race and that is the most amazing thing about it. Such incidents just tarnish the reputation of football and there is absolutely no place for that.
