Cavani joined the Red Devils on a free transfer from PSG back in October and many people questioned his transfer.
The 33-year-old came with a stellar record yet many people were still asking questions as to whether he would be able to replicate his good form at the age of 33 in what is supposed to be one of the toughest leagues in the world.
Edinson Cavani has answered his critics in fine fashion but there is still a long way to go for him. Cavani has scored four goals in 13 appearances for the Premier League side but only four of them have been proper starts this season. Mark Hughes feels that he is much more clinical in front of goal as compared to both Rashfod and Martial. He told talkSPORT Breakfast: “I think he’s an outstanding centre-forward. He plays the role as I’m imagining myself.”
Cavani has had a lot of praise from the staff and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer himself for his utter professionalism, work rate, and mentality. This also creates a positive impact on the younger lads at the club.
Martial has come under heavy criticism for his performances this season as he has netted just 2 times in the Premier League this season from his 16 appearances. Both Rashford and Martial bring a different kind of threat to this attacking lineup but martial hasn’t been firing on all cylinders and Rashford isn’t an out and out striker like Edinson Cavani.
Many people have been critical of the martial’s performance this season while also claiming that too much of the performance is dependent upon Bruno Fernandes and that can bring added pressure to the player especially at such a big club.
