Manchester United in talks with Juventus’s Matteo Tognozzi for Sporting Director job.
As indicated by Stretty News, Manchester United are hoping to designate Matteo Tognozzi as their Sporting Director. The Juventus scout was in reality in line to turn into Celtic’s Director of Football yet it seems the Red Devils have gained a sudden advantage over the Scottish monsters.
“We understand that senior officials at United are putting together an offer which they hope would see Tognozzi snub Celtic and take the reins at Old Trafford instead. Talks are understood to be underway, however, it has also been suggested to us that should a suitable offer be presented, Tognozzi would welcome the United sporting director’s role.” via Stretty News.
Celtic were interested in signing Tognozzi for the role of their director of Football but still, they haven’t made any superior contact. The Juventus boss scout has been with the Turin monsters for a decent three years at this point.
Preceding that Tognozzi was a global scout for any semblance of Zenit St. Petersburg, Hamburg, and Bayer Leverkusen. The Juventus boss scout has been held in the most noteworthy of respects and has been hailed for bargains that have seen the Italian heroes sign any semblance of Wojciech Szczesny and Weston McKennie among others.
Manchester United have worked without a Sporting Director so far with Ed Woodward and Matt Judge being the team generally engaged with club business consistently. This could boost United in making quality signings as there has been a lack of structural management in the team with many roles still being unfilled.
Ed Woodward may sooner or later get him out of this role in order to sign a new Sporting Director for the club. The next Summer window will be an interesting one if this happens as been stated.
