Manchester United will have a tough encounter this week, facing the one of the top four giants of the Premier League – Tottenham Hotspur. After a dreadful performance against the Seagulls, Manchester would like to pounce back harder and make it two wins out of two at home.
Man Utd are headed towards a tough storm with the Spurs being in top flight since the last three seasons; finishing in the top three every time. Spurs have shown their class in the opening games, winning two out of two, scoring 5 goals. Spurs will be the rookies favorite to win the match. The only good we can take out is the fact that Harry Kane has never scored at Old Trafford.
When and where?
Location: Old Trafford
Date & Time: Monday 27 Aug | 20:00 BST
Team News
The Spaniard Ander Herrera who was an unused substitute last match could play his first game for United after recovering from his injury. Alexis Sanchez could start the game if he recovers from injury that he suffered while training. Nemanja Matic is expected to feature against Spurs.
Spurs, the only team to not sign a player in this transfer window will be without the likes of Striker Vincent Janssen and the midfielder from Kenya- Wanyama. Spurs will depend heavily on the English trio of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Kieran Trippier due to unavailability of Son who is in Indonesia representing South Korea in the Asian Games.
Previous Meetings
Manchester United have won all the last four meetings against Spurs, all of them being a clean sheet for De Gea. Manchester will rely heavily on De Gea, as they always do and it will be his enigmatic saves that will keep Spurs from winning and maybe gain 3 crucial points for United.
We’ll have to see if we are lucky enough to experience the #JLingzchallenge live on the field or will have to laud on Dele Alli’s celebration.
