Scholes wants United to fear no opponents in the Europa League

The Red Devils have drawn AC Milan in the last 16 stages of the Uefa Europa League clash.

United comfortably cruised past the Spanish giants and now faces a tougher competition against the Italian side. Man United will be wary of the threat that Ibrahimovic and his attacking teammates possess. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play against his former team which will be quite heartening to watch. Even on loan United player Diogo Dalot will feature against this United side and will be looking to have an impact.

Solksjaer was happy with AC Milan being our opponents and he did state that this draw looked more like a Champions League draw due to the level of both the teams. He even mentioned that it will a difficult draw to play.

He even praised Dalot and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and their impact on AC Milan this season was commendable.

But United legend Paul Scholes has other views for United’s clash against AC Milan. He disagrees with the words of the United Manager. He picks AC Milan to be a lighter opponent than Solksjaer expected them to be and that United has a better squad at their disposal to snatch out a win.

Scholes said: “United have the best squad left in the competition. We thought that last year, but obviously, Sevilla was around then & we know what they’re like in the EL. Man United is much better than Arsenal & Tottenham. I think United would cruise past Milan.”

Paul Scholes knows that United has the ability to destroy any team here and they should not be afraid of any teams in this competition. United would look to play sharply against AC Milan and make their attackers appear weak in front of them.

Solksjaer would certainly take up these words of the United legend in a positive manner and try to increase the mentality of the team ahead of the match.
