Maguire a major doubt for Europa League Final after latest Injury

Harry Maguire is a potential injury doubt for Manchester United’s Europa League final against Villarreal after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said his defender could miss a “couple of weeks” with the injury supported against Aston Villa.

In spite of finishing a noteworthy second-half rebound, United, who ran out inevitable 3-1 champs, will see their victories getting hampered by injuries over their captain’s new injury issue.

In what was another fine exhibition from the club’s skipper, Maguire was seen stumbling off subsequent to getting an appalling physical issue. The England star center-back was apparently harmed following a tussle with Anwar El Ghazi in Sunday’s 3-1 win and must be supplanted by Eric Bailly following 78 minutes.

As reported by The Guardian, Solksjaer said: “Hopefully that will be okay with Harry, I don’t know. We need to check it. It might be a few weeks or a month – we don’t know. It was his calf or lower leg. I think the player landed on him and he twisted something. I don’t know how serious it is. He might be available on Tuesday, he might not.”

Red Devils manager Solskjaer is holding back to get familiar with the extent of his injury to the lower leg, and with the Europa League final against Villarreal planned for May 26, Maguire’s presence for the match is muddled.

Maguire had recently played every minute in the Premier League since joining from Leicester City. His run of 71 games in progression implies he just tied Gary Pallister for the record – with the ex-Red Devils protector fortuitously likewise seeing his streak finished by injury at the same place, that is the Villa Park in the 1995-1996 season.

Manchester United has only four Premier League left to play before they face Villarreal for an opportunity to lift the distinguished Europa League prize in their last match of the period.

The Captian will be required and this is a major loss for the team. Only time will tell whether he will be fit on time for the Europa League final.
