Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish was back in action for England on Wednesday night. Named among Gareth Southgate’s beginning 11 to play against Austria in a pre-Euro contract, Jack Grealish was probably the best player on the pitch.
The energizing attacking midfielder’s most recent performances have since made him receive rare praises from Manchester United legend Roy Keane.
Keane, presently speaking as a pundit, is regular on telecaster’s punditry panel and Wednesday night saw the famously hard-talking Irishman pass his remarks on Grealish’s performance against Austria for ITV Sport.
As reported by the Mirror, Roy Keane said: “He is the star man, he makes things happen. He has the courage and always wants the ball in tight areas. Like Cristiano Ronaldo at Portugal, you need players like that in your team. It is brave.”
Following what was a good match from the Lions, their win included both Grealish, and Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka. The Villa captain became the most dynamic figure in the game as he was highly involved in the set-up. He effortlessly created many chances as well.
He was however substituted just 20 mins before the final whistle as he was seen holding an ice pack on his leg. Albeit neglecting to get on the scoresheet himself, Grealish and England, won the match by a 1-0 scoreline. Saka scored the lone goal for England.
Grealish has been linked to a move to Old Trafford and United fans would have been eager to hear Keane’s appraisal of the 25-year-old. Grealish is lucky to receive those kind words from the United legend. We all know that how difficult it is to hear these words from him.
