Jadon Sancho’s transfer to Manchester United has been such an adventurous journey. After two years of long negotiations, he is all set to be unveiled as the new Manchester United player.
But what is more inspiring than his transfer is his gameplay. He continues to take everyone by surprise with his fast pace and sublime dribbling skills. He creates moments that take you by surprise. He had more than 100 goal involvements in just 137 appearances.
His pace and attacking threat were on display when England defeated Ukraine. He was a constant baller right there at the wings, creating something every time he gets the ball.
Everyone has just good words for the player and now even Ferdinand and Lampard have joined the group. They admire Sancho and his amazing talent.
As reported by The Manchester Evening News, Ferdinand was completely amazed by the player and the talent he brings to Old Trafford. He said: “I’ll tell you one thing, next season at Manchester United he’ll have people off their seats. There were moments in this game where he draws your breath and you think, “Ooh, wow, that’s different!” He’s a fabulous talent, we know that, but mentally he’s very strong and he’s got a desire to be as good as he could be and wants to fulfill that potential. Players that can up the tempo of a game are different and they mean something different to your team and they can change a game the way he did tonight. One-twos, playing with composure, playing off both feet, end product. This is his first game by the way in the tournament and he comes in and plays the way he did today and creates moments. It shows you the talent that’s there.”
Ferdinand knows that Jadon Sancho will really take everyone by surprise by his ruthless attacking performances. Even Lampard joined the fray and had amazing words to speak about Sancho.
Lampard said: “I think there’s a natural balance and acceleration in him, and movement. This is not the norm. And fortunately for England now in our squad, we have a few players like this, these incredible talents in attacking areas. But he completely vindicates Gareth’s decision to play him today, because of what he brought. He wanted a bit of something more direct, he wanted a right-footer, he wanted someone off the side. As Rio says, the maturity for a young kid to come in and show it in a game of this level says a lot about his mentality as well. We’ve got a special player coming to the Premier League.”
So much praise by two Premier League legends is just the best thing that a young player like Sancho can hear in this world. He has a lot to bring to the table for Manchester United and don’t stop betting him to rip apart opposition full-backs with his deadly pace.
The same consistency will see him continue adding goals and assists to his name. He is certain to link up well with his United teammates, won’t he?
