England was defeated by Italy in the most exciting Euro finals via penalties. The fate of the game was ultimately decided by penalties after both the teams failed to score their second goal.
Luke Shaw scored an early goal for England. Trippier providing a pin-point cross which he converted through a close-range powerful shot that went past Donnarumma. The first half was not so pleasing for Italy as they were unable to create any big chance.
The second half saw a big sparkle in the Italian players. They were keeping possession and making many crucial chances. Ultimately, they got their fruit after Bonucci scored a close-range goal after a messy corner.

The game went to the extra time and both the teams came so close to scoring their winning goal. But as we say, it went all the way to penalties which is obviously the tensest moment for every fan.
After a missed penalty from Bellotti, England had a perfect chance to hit the final. Then entered Marcus Rashford and he missed a very crucial spot-kick, soon Sancho followed and he missed one as well.

Bakayo Saka also failed to score the decisive goal and England’s dream of lifting the trophy was incomplete.
But, our boys performed really well and you need great composure to play as such pressurizing moments. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were very important for England and they can be proud of themselves for reaching the finals.

Playing at such intensity and keeping your calm in such pressure situations requires huge bravery. Their performances have been a blessing for England. Gareth Southgate will be proud of their boys.
