As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Raphael Varane has landed in Manchester and has begun his self-quarantine phase which will last for five days. The main concern regarding his delayed trip was his visa issues.
Manchester United had agreed to a £42m deal with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane. He will first undergo self-quarantine and then he will be ready to complete his medical and sign for Manchester United.

He will sign a four-year contract, until June 2024 with an option to extend for a further year. It was expected that Varane will fly to Manchester on Monday but his trip was delayed for a further five days due to his visa issues.
The slow movement of the transfer frustrated everyone and due to his delayed trip, it is highly likely that he will not be ready to start against Leeds.
He will make up for the bench for our Premier League opener against Leeds but everything depends on how sooner he starts training with the squad.

Everyone is waiting to see the powerful pair of Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire play together. It is highly likely that Victor Lindelof may partner Maguire for our match against Leeds United and the French centre-back may have to wait for his chance.
However, Raphael Varane will be ready for our second Premier League clash against Southampton on the 22nd of August and that is what we are waiting for.
