As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United defender Phil Jones could mark his return against Leicester City. Marcus Rashford will also be in contention to feature on Saturday.
United will be playing in the next few weeks without their star center-backs Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane. This also means that Solskjaer will play Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly in defence.
Phil Jones could make the bench and will be featuring for the first time since January 2020. He suffered a knee injury and was sidelined for the entire year. His struggles to keep up his fitness increased with time and even at the start of this year, he was unable to recover on time.

This season he has found the light in the tunnel and has finally started training with his teammates now. He took part in the preseason training and was given the nod to play by Solskjaer and the club’s medical team. He could start on the bench and could be substituted to get some game time.
Over the years, Phil Jones has been criticized by many, for being inconsistent and making careless mistakes while defending. Although the defender is not in his prime age, he can still offer something to the fans by helping the team during his injury-laden period.
We believe that he may not get a much better opportunity than the one he is having right now.
