Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned his team to be careful of Manchester United’s current bunch of players. Manchester United face Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday and the game already produced a big hype among the managers.
United have been looked weak against PL teams this season and have seen a major dip in their form. They are currently placed in 7th place in the PL table and are four points behind Liverpool which is actually a big margin in this competitive league.
Klopp may have analyzed Manchester United’s performance against Atalanta and the troubles the team can cause if they are given enough space to attack.
As stated by Liverpool’s official channel, the boss said:
“We all know how the football world is. United-Liverpool is a massive game, we know that. Man United is not overly happy with their results but we all know that they are able to do incredible stuff. We’ve seen it already. So we will try to focus mainly on ourselves.”
“Atalanta caused United problems in the first half but even in that half, United had three clear-cut chances. The second half was a demonstration of United going for it, which can cause problems. I’m preparing the team for a tough game against a really good opponent.”
It will be Liverpool’s first encounter with Manchester United this season and it comes in a month where United is already facing many other top teams.
