Man United board to give a second chance to Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not been shown the exit door by the Manchester United hierarchy. After Liverpool’s 5-0 hammering, many wanted the board to make a big decision regarding the future of the club.

The manager’s record this season has been unacceptable and his team has been sliding down the PL table.  It was reported that Solskjaer could be sacked very soon but now the board has given him a second opportunity to prove his capability.

As reported by The Guardian, Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward and managing director Arnold have backed the Norweigan manager to get a second chance and have also talked to Glazers regarding this decision.

Sir Alex Ferguson was himself present at the Carrington training base and talked to the manager and the players. He also provided his support to Solskjaer and has advised him to change things around in the upcoming matches.

Solskjaer who was once coached by Sir Alex Ferguson from 2007-10 and the legendary manager was a great mentor for him for 10 years.

It is being known that Man United’s game against Tottenham could be crucial for his future. The next week’s Champions League game against Atalanta and League game against Manchester City will have a big role to play in the board’s decision.

Solskjaer’s future is now in his hands and he has just three games to prove his point if he fails then the authority may look at a new manager to lead the club this season.
