As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur is set to land Italian manager Antonio Conte as their new manager. Talks have been progressing quickly and the deal is moving towards the final stages.
This news is a big blow for Manchester United who had Antonio Conte on their wishlist as the first choice manager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked after Tottenham’s disastrous loss against Manchester United. The manager lasted for just 17 matches and he couldn’t make any significant impact on the club.
Tottenham are preparing contracts and paperworks to appoint Antonio Conte as new manager. Agreement set to be signed until June 2023 once all details will be fixed. ⚪️🤝 #THFC

Tottenham started the season on a very bright note after winning all of their first three games. But then they have been suffered seven losses in ten games. Tottenham currently has the worst goal difference in the league after Norwich City and Newcastle United.
They are currently 10 points behind table-toppers Chelsea and are sliding further down the table. They failed to hit even a single shot on target against Man United and the last time they managed this undesirable feat was against Liverpool back in 2013.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s chances of escaping a sack have increased after United’s impressive triumph over Tottenham. But if United fails to win against Atalanta and Manchester City, he will be under huge pressure again.
Even if things go worse for United, they don’t have their preferred first choice target Antonio Conte to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They have their second target Zinedine Zidane still available but the French great doesn’t want to return back to managerial responsibilities so soon and he wants to enjoy some time with his family.
Manchester United has a difficult decision to make regarding choosing their new manager if in case Solskjaer is shown the exit door in the coming weeks.
