Manchester United played out an exciting draw against Atalanta as they ended the game with a 2-2 scoreline. It was a tough match for United as they needed their star player Cristiano Ronaldo to help them grab a point.
Josip Ilicic and Duvan Zapata scored the goals for the Italian outfit whereas, for United, Ronaldo scored both the goals.
Let’s rate how every Man United player fared during the match:
David de Gea: 5
Was tested numerous times but couldn’t stop either of the two goals. He should have saved Atalanta’s first goal and could have come out of his line to save Zapata’s shot. But the second goal was not his fault entirely.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 6
Defensively quite solid but his attacking output was very weak. Should improve his attacking skills if he wants to make an impact.
Eric Bailly: 8
Eric Bailly’s game by numbers vs. Atalanta:
85% pass accuracy
68 total touches
11 total duels contested
7 total duels won
4 interceptions

Was quite comfortable and solid while defending at the back. He made numerous important blocks and interceptions and prevented Atalanta from scoring a second goal quite early in the second half. He needs to play more often to display such remarkable performances.
Raphael Varane: 7
Was a strong pillar for Manchester United as he looked so calm and composed. Was forced off very early and his injury is a bit of concern.
Harry Maguire: 3
After a solid game against Tottenham, there were hopes that the English center-back has started to find his feet. But once again he showed signs of inconsistency as he made several defensive errors and gave chances to Atalanta attackers to score.
Luke Shaw: 6
Solid while defending but not quite sharp while attacking.
Scott McTominay: 7
Showed a really good work rate throughout the time he spend on the field. Kept possession and covered every blade of grass for his team. His consistent performances have helped him to win Solskjaer’s trust in every game.
Paul Pogba: 2
He was dispossessed 10 times in the first half which is very shocking. The French international even let Atalanta score a goal which was expertly blocked by Eric Bailly at the end. Deserved to be substituted in the second half.
Bruno Fernandes: 6
Was solid in the first half as he provided the assists for Cristiano Ronaldo. He was always present at the right place in the first half but his second-half performance was really poor. Was subbed for Van de Beek in the second half and the Dutchman was involved in the second goal.
Marcus Rashford: 3
Very quiet in the first half and couldn’t create many chances.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 9
4 – Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player to score in four consecutive UEFA Champions League appearances for Manchester United since Ruud van Nistelrooy in April 2003 (in a run of nine). Striking. #ATAMUN pic.twitter.com/SbfaA9Il1e

He saved Manchester United once again with his brilliant goals. Scored the winner through a superb volley at the very last minute to grab a vital point for his team.
Substitutes:
Nemanja Matic: 6
Solid defending but quite sloppy in the middle.
Mason Greenwood: 6
Involved in both the goals and was looking dangerous.
Edinson Cavani: 6
Played a lot of sloppy passes
Donny Van de Beek: 6
Had very little time but still had his role in the equalizer and nearly scored a late winner. He deserves more minutes to play.
Jadon Sancho: N/A
He came on very late
