Mauricio Pochettino ready to leave PSG to join Man United

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be ready to leave his current club Paris Saint-Germain immediately to seek the vacant Manchester United manager’s job left by Solskjaer.

United is looking for a new manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following a 4-1 defeat at Watford on Saturday.

Michael Carrick has been appointed as caretaker manager, with the club aiming to recruit a permanent manager until the conclusion of the season, with the suspicion that the club’s top contenders will not be available quickly.

Pochettino, according to The Daily Mail, would be willing to quit his PSG managerial post and return to the Premier League if an offer from Old Trafford came in, as the Argentine is currently unhappy in Paris.

Despite his move to the Parc des Princes, Pochettino’s family has remained in England, having settled in London during the 49-year old’s tenure with Tottenham.

Pochettino is said to be on a list of probable possibilities to be the next United manager that also includes Brendan Rodgers, Erik ten Hag, Zinedine Zidane, and Ralf Rangnick. United has yet to make contact with him.

United’s hunt for a new manager follows a poor run of form that has seen them drop to eighth place in the Premier League after losing seven of their last 13 games in all competitions.
