Following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Zinedine Zidane is said to be ‘not interested in taking over at Manchester United.
After the Red Devils replaced Solskjaer following Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Watford, Zidane was included among a list of possibilities to take the empty job at Old Trafford.
United have approached Zidane about the job, according to BBC’s Guillem Balague, but the Frenchman is ‘not interested at this point in taking over the Premier League side.
In May, Zidane concluded his second tenure as Real Madrid manager, having led the Spanish giants to two La Liga crowns and three straight Champions League titles in two spells at the Bernabeu.
In recent months, the 49-year-old has been associated with both the France national team and Paris Saint-Germain and would choose to play for either of both teams if the opportunity arose.
PSG has no plans to replace Mauricio Pochettino with Zinedine Zidane, despite claims today that the former would be open to returning to the Premier League if Manchester United approached him.
The Argentine, who was previously a managerial target for United, is said to be feeling uneasy in Paris, with the former Tottenham manager’s family remaining in England even after Pochettino moved to PSG.
