Manchester United play hosts to Burnley at Old Trafford on Thursday in the final outing of the calendar year for the Red Devils who would hope to return to much-needed winning ways.
A draw against Newcastle United earlier this week played spoilsport to Manchester United’s chances of pushing for an entry into the top four of the league table.
Edinson Cavani came to the rescue for his side as the veteran forward netted a strike in the closing stages of the game to salvage a point for Ralf Rangnick’s men on their travels to St. James’ Park after Allan Saint-Maximan had found an early opener.
Basement side Burnley are unlikely to pose too tough a challenge for United but Rangnick and Co. will be cautious amidst an uninspiring run of form of late from the Old Trafford heavyweights.
