Tottenham is reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson. At Manchester United, Henderson has fallen out of favor as David De Gea has taken over as the number one goalkeeper.
Last season, De Gea and Henderson shared the goalkeeping duties, but this season, Henderson has been limited to domestic cup competitions.
That might lead to the England international moving on in the upcoming transfer window, especially with the World Cup coming up next year, however current rumours suggest he may have to wait until the summer.
Tottenham is keeping an eye on Henderson ahead of next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Spurs’ current number one goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, is out of contract next year. Lloris will be entitled to sign a pre-contract agreement with any team outside of England from January 1 if no new contract is negotiated.
However, he remains a fan favourite under Antonio Conte, so there is yet hope. In the event that the Frenchman leaves, it appears that Tottenham is planning a move for Henderson, who is unlikely to be content with remaining a number two at Old Trafford.
Man United is currently not providing any update regarding the future of Dean Henderson and it seems that Rangnick will be happy to let Henderson leave on loan in January.
