After the horrific result in the Manchester Derby, social media is flooding with the news that Rashford is a major doubt of being a Mancunian after the season ends even though his contract expires in 2023. Ralf Ragnick made some prominent changes to the team sheet in the derby leaving Rashford on the bench.
Throughout the season, we have seen that Rashford has suffered a lot and have often failed to capitalise on easy chances. No doubt that it is not his fault entirely but a player like him should make the most out of it. Rashford is still one of the best players out there, but it’s sad that he can’t live up to it. Apparently, Paris Saint-German are showing some interest to join their allies. With the French star Kylian Mbappe leaving this summer transfer window probably to Real Madrid, we could finally see our homeboy, Marcus Rashford leave United.
Rashford could play a crucial role in Mbappe’s absence in Paris. He will be surrounded by our ex-United winger, Di Maria and of course Lionel Messi. On the other hand, some other sources are expecting a bid from Barcelona this summer window for Rashford. With Ansu Fati injured who plays on the left-wing position, Rashford could easily fit into Xavi’s system and get some more game time. A major advantage would be that in Barcelona, especially Adama Traore, Aubameyang and Dembele have a lightening pace allowing Rashford to quickly adapt there and play an important role in Barcelona’s counter-attacking.
Premier League clubs so far have shown no interest in getting Rashford. Ragnick is already making some huge calls in his short reign as a United manager. Unfortunately, these calls are not reaping any positive results and often lead to conflicts inside the club. If Rashford regains his form which he is very likely to get it back soon, he will again be the best player on the pitch. Often, we have seen Rashford scoring late goals helping United win and also some tricky skills to outclass the defenders.
Very few players are there to replace Rashford. It will definitely be one of worst setbacks of the club if he leaves. On the other hand, Paulo Dybala’s contract expires this summer making him a free agent. United will be lured to get Dybala in, if Rashford really decides to put an end to his United career.
