United faces Tottenham Hotspurs this Saturday in an enthralling Premier League fixture. Both the team’s now main agenda is set to get the fourth-spot, as it would guarantee the Champions League position. Arsenal remains at the pole position to get the position.
It is a must win game for United as it would definitely boost United’s top four hopes yet again. Tottenham has been on a good form recently as they completely thrashed Everton by a 5-0 margin. Harry Kane is again back to his very best, scoring a brace in this very match.
Rafael Varane and Edison Cavani are back to training after suffering from an injury and Covid-19 respectively. Last meeting between the two sides at Old Trafford didn’t go quite well. Spurs did the unthinkable by beating the Red Devils by a 6-1 margin. Son- Heung Min scored a brace and managed to get an assist. Conte on the other hand, is another tactical genius. Spurs counter-attacking is ferocious with Harry Kane and Son running the show.
Ragnick is expected to start Ronaldo this time round as he was not in the squad against City. Rashford is also expected to play alongside Ronaldo. Sancho who is also in a good form is expected to play at his designated right-wing position. Diego Dalot show be brought back to the starting-XI as he’s one of the players who has improved a lot under our interim manager, Ralf Ragnick.
Tottenham is a very unpredictable team. They did the double against the reigning champions (Manchester City) and then lost their FA CUP game against Middlesbrough and then lost their game against Burnley in the Premier League. United again needs to check their defence as it is the main source of United dropping points almost every game-week. Lindelof and Varane duo can be lethal with Alex Telles and Diego Dalot taking the full-back roles.
MATCH PREDICTION-
With a sudden upsurgence in Harry Kane’s form he is expected to be on the scoring-sheet. Ronaldo can again make his mark after failing to capitalise some easy chances lately. We could be expecting Jadon Sancho to make another mark this Saturday by either scoring or assiting.
