Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Monday that he and his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez had lost their baby boy. He turned to social media to request privacy as his family mourns the loss of their infant boy.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the Manchester United footballer stated that the birth of the baby girl has only given them the fortitude to live with the agony of losing the boy.
The news has shattered everyone but support pouring in from all over the world. The legendary striker has asked for privacy at this difficult moment.
Through his Instagram account, he said:
“It is with the deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Ronaldo, who is also the father to four-year-old twins Eva Maria and Mateo, four-year-old daughter Alana Martina, and 11-year-old son Cristiano Jr, revealed his pregnancy on Instagram on Oct. 28.

The Manchester United player announced the news with a snapshot of himself in bed with Rodrguez, holding up ultrasound images. He also provided a cute photo of himself with his other four children.
