Cristiano Ronaldo wants Erik Ten Hag to succeed at Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo has supported incoming manager Erik ten Hag to succeed at the club. United has been below average this season and even after their star striker scored in double figures, the team failed to win any major prizes.

They may potentially miss out on a Champions League qualification slot because they are now in sixth place in the league rankings, with West Ham United pressing them hard with 55 points from 36 games. If the Hammers can match United’s point total, they will move up the table thanks to their superior goal difference.

United has chosen to hire Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, in the hopes of achieving a big turnaround at the club. However, the iconic striker Cristiano Ronaldo has shown faith in ten Hag and asked everyone to be patient with him.

As reported by the club’s official website, he said:

“What I know about him is he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he’s an experienced coach. But we need to give him time. Things need to change the way he wants. I hope we have success, of course, because, if you have success, all of Manchester is going to have success as well. I wish him the best.”

“We are happy and excited, not only as players but the supporters as well. I wish him the best and let’s believe that next year, we are going to win trophies.”

Due to the prospect of a lack of Champions League action at the Manchester club, the 37-year-old has been linked with a return to the Bernabeu this season. In a United shirt, though, Ronaldo has topped the goal-scoring records, scoring 18 times in the Premier League, third-most after Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min.

Erik Ten Hag joins United on a three-year deal after five seasons at Ajax, where he led the team to three league crowns and two Dutch Cup victories. These numbers have surely impressed Ronaldo.,

United, who are currently sixth in the league, play Crystal Palace in their final match of the season on May 22.
