Manchester United in advanced talks to sign Ajax star Jurrien Timber

Manchester United has started negotiations with Ajax defender Jurrien Timber as Erik ten Hag is trying to pick players from his Eredivisie winning side.

Erik Tag Hag had earlier confirmed that he has terminated his contract with Ajax six weeks early to join Manchester United. It is crucial for the manager to get some time to access his options before making moves in the transfer window.

This is not an easy task for him, but as he had said earlier he decided to take this job as he wanted to take the difficult route.

However, it is critical that the supporters be patient and recognize how much work remains for Ten Hag to establish a title-winning squad at Old Trafford. Although he has time to execute his ideas, he has already started making his moves in a busy summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United is reportedly in talks to sign the £35 million-rated versatile Dutch right-back, Jurrien Timber. Furthermore, Erik Ten Hag has already stated that he expects many other elite teams to show interest in Jurrien Timber this summer, so United will face stiff competition from other clubs.

Bayern Munich is also targetting Timber but they are well aware that he may reject them this summer in order to follow his manager to Old Trafford.

Jurrien Timber has been growing immensely at Ajax and he has already adapted himself to numerous positions. He has also impressed while playing as a defensive midfielder.

Furthermore, Manchester United requires new signings in defence and midfield this summer, and one or two versatile players who can play multiple positions would be beneficial for the club.
