As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Jamie Carragher has compared Manchester United target Declan Rice to Roy Keane in his latest interview.
These are actually huge words for any player if you are being compared to a United legend. Declan Rice has been West Ham’s most impressive player this season along with Jarred Bowen. The former Chelsea academy player has never failed to earn plaudits with his versatile playing style.
He has already assisted four times this season and he has been able to keep himself fit throughout the season.
Jamie Carragher seems to be impressed with his role and has said that he is quite similar to Roy Keane. Rice is known to play like a complete midfielder, making runs into the opposition box and also making those crucial passes to the final third. He doesn’t restrict himself to the defensive midfield role.

Erik Ten Hag is aiming to sign a defensive midfielder in the coming weeks and will then look to bolster other positions.
Declan Rice has been linked to Manchester United for a very long time. Other clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City had contact with him. But, West Ham has made it pretty clear that they will not let him leave for anything less than £100m.
This huge asking price has been a major block. However, he has expressed his desire to make a move in the future and he could make it possible once his contract ends with the Hammers.
